Dial: Black, luminous baton numerals with luminous accents, luminous hands, luminous central hand for second time zone, two grey subsidiary dials, date
Case: Stainless steel tonneau-shaped, blue and red bezel, engraved screw back with the Argentinian Air Force logo and number 0996, two round buttons in the band, 40mm diam.
Bracelet/Clasp: Heuer stainless steel bracelet and deployant clasp, overall approximate length 8 inches

Specialist note

The present watch is a spectacular find for collectors of automatic Heuer Autavias and military collectors generally. Originally issued to the Argentinian Air Force, the present watch is miraculously maintained its mint condition and has the mind-boggling attribute of retaining what appears to be its original box. The case back has the symbol of the Argentinian Air Force engraved on the back with the issue number below that, similar to the other range of Autavia references that were issued to the Argentinian Air Force in the 1970s.
