Morton A. Spring (1896-1967), former president of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer International, Inc. was formerly in charge of MGM’s foreign film distribution operation and its fifty theatres worldwide.
He acquired the paintings during his travels for MGM and these paintings were passed by descent to the present owner.
