En suite with lot 74, the armchairs each with oval padded back, armrests and seat covered in red silk, the toprail centred by a floral spray, the seat rails with papier-mache guilloche bands on fluted tapering legs with leather castors, the sofa with an arched toprail and outscrolled arms, stamped 'B. HARMER'
The armchairs: 37 in. (94 cm.) high; 25 ½ in. (65 cm.) wide; 25 in. (64 cm.) deep
The settee: 36 ½ in. (93 cm.) high; 94 in. (239 cm.) wide; 43 ½ in. (88 cm.) deep

Almost certainly supplied to James Milnes, MP, (d.1805) for Thornes House, Wakefield,
Benjamin Gaskell, MP, (d.1856) who inherited Thornes House in 1805,
Thence by descent in the Milnes Gaskell family.
