A GEORGE IV MAHOGANY, BRONZED AND EBONISED D-SHAPED SERVING-TABLE
FIRST QUARTER 19TH CENTURY, AFTER THE DESIGN BY THOMAS SHERATON
The shaped top above four frieze drawers divided by four carved flowerheads and centred by a lion's mask, on spirally turned and reeded tapering legs headed by four further lion masks terminating in hairy paw feet

Note du spécialiste

This serving table, with its distinctive spirally turned tapering legs headed by lion masks, which were previously bronzed, follows almost exactly the design published by Thomas Sheraton in his Encyclopedia of 1804.
