Note du spécialiste

Post-modern before the term was invented, George Deem's art involves the re-presentation of art-historical masterpieces. "His is an art of wit and quiet virtuosity, presenting us with the familiar in an unfamiliar context", (R. Upshaw, Art in America, July 2000).
