SCREAMING EAGLE
Screaming Eagle is one of Napa Valley's smallest wineries. The wine is made from one acre of vines, just below Dalla Valle, in a small stone winery in Oakville has captured the hearts and attention of wine collectors across the globe. Available only through the mailing list, the elusive, yet legendary Screaming Eagle reaches extraordinary prices based on its cult following. The vines are Cabernet Sauvignon primarily, but Merlot and Cabernet Franc are blended in small amounts. During her tenure winemaker Heidi Barrett used small, half-ton fermenters, plenty of punching down with no fining or filtration to make a concentrated, yet pure version of the fruit.
