The complex geology of this site encompasses a number of different soil structures including decomposed limestone of the lower Bathonian period, pebble and limestone debris, and clay soil mixed with fossilized oyster deposits. This unique feature combined with the breadth of altitudes covered by the vineyard makes it an exquisite synthesis of Vosne-Romanée.
