MOVEMENT: manual, cal. 33.3, 17 jewels
DIAL: white matte, baton numerals, railway fifths of a second combined with Arabic five minutes divisions, outer blue tachymetre scale calibrated for 1000 unites and graduated from 300 to 60 UPH, red tachymetre scale graduated from 60 to 30 UPH, inner green spiral tachymetre scale graduated from 30 to 20 UPH, two sunken subsidiary dials for constant seconds and color-coded 30 minutes register
CASE: 18K gold, downturned lugs, hinged back, hinged bezel, one oval-shaped chronograph button in the band, 37.5 mm. diam.
SIGNED: case, dial and movement signed
BUCKLE: gold plated Omega buckle

Specialist note

According to the Archives of Omega, the present watch was originally invoiced on 10 July 1934 in Italy.

It is an attractive example of one of Omega's early chronograph wristwatches fitted with the calibre 33.3 CHRO, preserved in very good, original overall condition.

The highly precise and reliable calibre 33.3 CHRO was developed by the renowned watch and watch movement manufacturer Lemania in 1933, in collaboration with Omega since 1932. In use until the early 1950s, the 33.3 was powering a variety of different chronograph models, cases of varying designs either in steel or in precious metals, the dials likewise with different layouts and colours, with or without tachometre, telemetre or pulsometre scales.
