Specialist note

The present watch was purchased by the present owner in the 1989 Patek Philippe anniversary sale and has been in his collection ever since. It is believed to be one of only 16 pieces of the model in platinum to have appeared in public today and is preserved in very good overall condition: the case has not been subject to careless polishing, showing a crisp platinum mark to the band, the unrestored dial displaying an attractive, uniform champagne patina. The stamp "HOX" on the regulator bridge of the movement indicates that it was destined for the American market.

Reference 2422
