Specialist note
Founded by Giovanni Panerai in 1860, the Florentine manufacture was first popular for supplying timepieces meeting the needs of the Royal Italian Navy. Throughout the years, the manufacture cultivated its heritage and link to the maritime world by creating the present timepiece, alluding to a model created by Officine Panerai more than half a century ago for the Egyptian Navy commandos.
Made in a bronze case of 47 mm, the present timepiece is highly resistant to external elements. With a deep tie to the world of the sea, this material was chosen by Officine Panerai, as on top of its water resistance, bronze develops a patina throughout the years, while retaining its rich tone. Due to the nature of this special edition, a dark green dial was developed specifically for this timepiece and caliber P9000, with a 3 day power reserve and date.
In excellent overall condition, the present timepiece represents a rare opportunity for Panerai enthusiasts to obtain this exclusive and celebrated limited edition.
