A PARIS PORCELAIN GOLD AND MATTE CHOCOLATE-BROWN GROUND NEOCLASSICAL VASE CLOCK

The attribution to Nast or Darte Frères is based on a stylistic comparison of marked work by these two preeminent Paris factories, both of which are known for the high quality of their modeling and decoration. The molded acanthus leaf tips, lotus and the juxtaposition of burnished and matte gold is particularly reminiscent of the work of the Nast Brothers.
