« Dans le titre donné à mes peintures le mot MIRE est employé dans un sens équivoque. Il évoque d’une part un “point de mire” (c’est-à-dire la focalisation du regard sur un point précis dans un étendue continue) et d’autre part l’aspect des choses réfété par un miroir. »
