Specialist note
Although Audemars Piguet introduced its first perpetual calendar Royal Oak in 1984, twelve years after the introduction of the original Royal Oak in 1972, it was not until recent years that the model has become a standard production piece.
The example offered here was part of a small limited edition dating from approximately 1992 and is one of the most desirable combinations of the reference 25686: a handsome Tuscany blue textured dial and very wearable stainless steel case fitted with a platinum bezel. Numbered 7 of 25, this piece one of the more rare and unusual limited edition Royal Oak perpetual calendars.
