Universal. A fine and rare stainless steel chronograph wristwatch

Often known as the “Nina Rindt” because of its association with the wife of Formula One driver Jochen Rindt, this configuration of Universal Compax has a “panda” dial (meaning it has white base with black registers) that echoes the panda version of the Rolex “Paul Newman” Daytona. The legendary Valjoux 72 movement (marked as the Universal Geneva caliber 85) used in the present watch was also found in the early Rolex Daytonas.
