"Ho fatto un quadro bianco nel quale gli impulsi a trascendere la simmetria non sono guidati verso una trasgressione della simmetria del pattern complessivo; che quindi resta di una chiusa regolarità.
La trasgressione è tutta interna e scatta nel rapporto tra i segni che concorrono a costituite il tessuto del pattern; ed è trasgressione (disordine) che nella distribuzione per ripetizione sfocia in una a sé coincidente regolarità. Avviene che nella messa a fuoco percettiva, l'ordine si cambia in disordine, e viceversa, all'interno di una simmetricità complessiva che resta intatta".

"I created a white painting in which the urges to go beyond symmetry are not driven towards disobeying the symmetry of the overall pattern, and it therefore retains its closed regularity. The transgression is entirely internal, and is released in the relationship between the marks that together form the fabric of the pattern; and it is a transgression (disorder) that in its repeated distribution gives rise to its own corresponding regularity. Sometimes, when focusing one's perception, the order changes to disorder and vice versa, within an overall symmetry that remains intact".
