With detachable arched top and the central section with niches containing Saints, on knopped engraved stem and foot mounted with enamel bosses and three enamelled copper discs, one engraved 'DNA / POLISENA / ABATISA SANC / TI MICHAE / LIS.' , the underside with an engraved date '1447'
16 in. (41 cm.) high

Florence, Lady Harvington and then by descent.

Specialist note

The Latin inscription on the disc on the foot can be translated as `Domina Polisena, Abbess of Saint Michael's'
