The IWC Pilot's Watch Automatic Edition Antoine de Saint Exupéry is made to commemorate Saint Exupéry's novel "Courrier Sud" (Southern Mail) published in Paris in 1929. The limited edition of just 1929 examples contained 1178 examples in stainless steel, 500 examples in 18k pink gold, 250 examples in 18k white gold and just one in platinum.

The unique example in platinum was auctioned by IWC on 19th December 2007 and the auction proceeds benefitted the "Ecole des Sables - Antoine de Saint Exupéry" Tuareg school at Taboye, in the West African country of Mali.
