Specialist note
Accompanied by a Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with steel bracelet in 1961 and its subsequent sale on July 18th of the same year.
The ingenious model of the reference 3418 was designed to allow the easy change of the leather bracelet against a metal version by unscrewing a metal ring fixed onto the case back and revealing the lugs, hence its name "convertible". It is a remarkable find retaining the exceptional bracelet and with a case that appears to be original and unpolished.
To the best of our knowledge this watch has never before been offered in public.
Reference 3418 was introduced into the market in 1958, the same year as the caliber 12'''400 movement.
