Cal. 145 ultra-thin nickel-finished lever movement, 20 jewels, bimetallic compensation balance, silvered matte dial, Arabic and dagger numerals, ultra-slim circular case, opened by removing the bezel secured by one screw, together with a stainless steel fob in the shape of a belt buckle, case, dial and movement signed, case also stamped EJ for Edmond Jaeger

Specialist note

According to the Archives of Jaeger-LeCoultre, the present dress watch was made in 1952.

It is a fine example of a so-called "tranche couteau" dress watch, referring to the ultra-thin case resembling a knife's edge.
