Inducta for Rolex. A Large and Attractive Wall Clock

Rolex, as well as Patek Philippe, entrusted Inducta to make movements for their display clocks. The movement of this clock is based on 1967 Swiss patent for Master/Slave clock mechanism granted to Daniel Bischoff and Bernhard Schneiter. These clocks rarely appear on the market as they are reserved for large Rolex retailers for their showrooms and for special clients such as, for instance, John F. Kennedy Airport which has a few of them. Due to their rarity, there are many imitations on the market with simple Kienzle movements. The authentic examples, such as the present lot with complicated Inducta movements, are increasingly hard to discover.
