Richard L. Scott, Ceramics from the House of Amphora 1890-1915, Ohio, 2004, p. 117 cat. 169 for other examples of this vase. The note to the catalogue entry mentions that it was one of the animal sculptures designed for the 1900 Exposition Universelle in Paris.
