Note du spécialiste

“For Heri Dono, the past does not seem to be the time of darkness of which the relationship with the present have to be cut off without ever being restored. He regards the present relationship between traditional and contemporary cultures not as a tense and mutually negating connection like opposite magnetic poles; instead, he regards them as simultaneity, in which one is not the reason for the other’s life.” – Hendro Wiyanto, art curator/critic
