Furthermore delivered with Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with opaline-white dial and 9 Breguet numerals in yellow gold in 2002 and its subsequent sale on 12 February 2002.
Fresh to the market, the present sought-after example offered here at Christie's impresses by its excellent overall condition. According to our research, this collector's watch is one of only 10 examples to have come up for auction thus far.
Thanks to its generous case proportions, reference 5020 is easily distinguishable from other Patek Philippe wristwatches and takes a unique position in the production of perpetual calendar chronographs. Adding to its rarity, the case of this present lot was made by the renowned case maker Jean-Pierre Hagmann. Reference 5020 was in production from 1994 to 2002 and manufactured in all metals except stainless steel.
