Cylindrical, on three ball feet, with scroll handle and bud thumb-piece, the sides engraved with flowers and inset with oval enamel plaques, one allegorical of land 'terra', another of perfume 'odoratus', one after a print published by Joos de Booscher, and with a foliate wreath surround, the cover chased with flower-heads and foliage around a later portrait medallion of Emanuele Philiberto, Duke of Savoy (1553-1580), engraved underneath with initial 'A', marked underneath
