Gilt-finished movement, Pouzait-type lever escapement and oversized balance, gilt cuvette, white enamel dial, eccentric small hour dial with Arabic numerals, outer Arabic and baton 60 minutes indications and central seconds hand, circular engine-turned case, seconds hand start/stop lever in the milled band, cuvette and dial signed

Samuel Frederic Ravené, watchmaker to the King, was active in Berlin at the late 18th/early 19th century. Several of his watches and clocks are listed in Meister der Uhrmacherkunst by Jürgen Abeler, 2nd edition, p. 450.
