Specialist note

The present watch is an exceedingly rare example of Submariner watch with champagne dial and diamond and sapphire-set numerals. This combination is considered one of the most difficult to find and sought after for the reference. Aesthetically as well it is extremely eye-pleasing: the champagne dial echoes the gold case, and the sapphire-set numerals the blue bezel. A most welcome detail is the champagne date disc which perfectly harmonizes with the dial. A similar example was sold in this room in May 2014 for 56'250 CHF.
