Note du spécialiste

'Increasingly for me painting is a process of erasure. There is a figurative aspect to my painting that acts as a foil, something to react against. Usually it takes weeks to get a picture to the point where I’m happy with it, ready to sand it back , and weeks of work can be undone in minutes.'
(Toby Ziegler, 2015).
