Tasting note: A narrow ruby rim surrounding an impenetrable purple black core. This dense and powerful vintage port displays concentrated jammy blackcurrant aromas and subtle resiny scents of wild herb and gum cistus. The nose is very youthful and intense with plenty of depth and background but still relatively closed up. On the palate, the tannins are sturdy and muscular but very well integrated and there is an abundance of crisp berry fruit flavour, which continues into the fresh lively finish. A very impressive vintage port, built to age.
