Fonseca 1963
In original wooden, six-bottle cases.

Tasting note: Rich full ruby centre, tawny highlights.  A wine in total harmony on the bouquet.  The nose overflows with aromas of cured leather, warm marmalade, cinnamon, scented rosewood.  Pungent, fat, rounded; oodles of volume on the nose, then wonderful pear drops lift on the finish. Very harmonious, complete palate. Wonderfully complex. Silky texture; gloriously smooth and almost voluptuous in its volume. Classic Fonseca opulence and fatness of fruit.  Really good example of 1963.  Ageing very well and still great life to it.  Liquorice, touch of prune, slightly meaty, hint of tea and cigar box that stays well on the finish.
