Specialist note

A pair of similarly decorated Spanish neoclassical sofas, with recessed panels of decoration to the rails and near identical rosettes to the leg-blocks, originally from the Spanish Royal Collection, was sold, Sotheby’s New York, 25-26 October, 2007, lot 14.
