Comprising a pair and one larger, shaped circular with rococo scroll and foliate borders on shell-chased bracket feet, centres flat-chased with shells, "C" scrolls, foliage and flowers around engraved with a coat of arms
Largest salver 11 ¾ in. diameter (29.9 cm.), smaller pair 8 7/8 in. (22 .5 cm.)
61.5 oz. (1907 gm.)

Almost certainly Sir William Earle Welby, 3rd Bt. (1806-1875), Lincolnshire, and then by descent.

Specialist note

The arms are for Welby impaling Cholmeley for Sir Glynne Earle Welby-Gregory, 3rd Bt. (1806-1875), and his wife, Frances (d. 1881), the daughter of Sir Montague Cholmeley, 1st Bt., who were married on 6 March 1828.
