Cal. 1570 automatic lever movement, 26 jewels, monometallic balance, black matte dial, luminous dot, baton, and dagger numerals, luminous Mercedes-style hands, center seconds, tonneau-shaped water-resistant-type case, revolving black bezel calibrated for 60 units, screw down crown, screw back, stainless steel Rolex Oyster link bracelet and deployant clasp, overall approximate length 7.5 inches, case, dial and movement signed

The reference 5512 is the first Submariner model produced with protected crown guards. The model was only produced in stainless steel and carried calibers 1530, 1560 or 1570.
