Cal. 23 mechanical movement, 17 jewels, silvered dial, applied baton and square numerals, blued steel chronograph hand, outer blue mileage and black tachometer scales for miles, two engine-turned subsidiary dials for 30 minutes register and constant seconds, circular case, extended faceted downturned lugs, snap on back, two rectangular chronograph buttons in the band, stainless steel Rolex buckle, case, dial and movement signed
35mm diam.

Specialist note

Reference 4099 is one of the rarest chronographs of the Rolex's non-Oyster chronograph family. It stands out by its substantial and angled spider-leg lugs. It was produced in stainless steel or stainless steel and gold.
