Zenith presented the first tourbillon El Primero Grande Chronomaster XXT at Baselworld in 2004, featuring the new 4005 caliber movement, composed of 310 parts. The use of this famous movement allowed the development of the fastest tourbillon in the world: beating at 36,000 vibrations per hour, this timepiece guarantees high precision with a chronograph accurate to a tenth of a second.
Furthermore it features another highly ingenious component: the calendar disc inserted between the bridge and the tourbillon carriage turns in the opposite direction, meaning while the latter revolves in 60 seconds, the date changes at midnight in the opposite direction.
