FROM A PRIVATE JAPANESE COLLECTION
In 1992, members of the China and Japan Cultural Exchange group visited China, including artists He Haixia, Bai Xueshi, Dong Shouping, Tian Shiguang and Huang Zhou, to name but a few. The artists conducted an exhibition at the Beijing Hotel and had dinner together - Fig.1 is a photo they took at the restaurant together. These present lots were purchased during the exhibition by the current owner's family. These paintings come from the same collection of paintings sold in our salerooms in November 2014, Fine Chinese Modern Paintings, Lots 1711 - 1712.
