El Primero 8804 mechanical movement, 45 jewels, pavé-set diamond dial, eccentric gilt brushed time display with engine-turned centre and Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds, fan-form sector for power reserve indication, self-regulating gravity control gyroscopic module within the spherical crystal visible through the dial, diamond-set bezel, glazed display back secured by six screws, 18k pink gold Zenith double deployant clasp, case, dial and movement signed
45 mm. diam.

Specialist note

The painting is dedicated to Zhao Juyu (1913-1981), a native of Hunan. After the Sino-Japanese War, he took up official positions and acted as branch manager for the Central Trust of China. He later moved to Taiwan after 1949 assisting in logistics and then took up a post at the Executive Yuan before retiring.
