In Chinese culture, the bat is regarded as an auspicious symbol. The Chinese name for bat is "Bian Fu", "Fu" being a homophone for good fortune, prosperity, long life, health and happiness. The dial of the present watch is decorated with champlevé enamel depicting bats in flight. Specially designed and crafted by Corum, this watch symbolizes the advent of much good fortune and is numbered 23 of a limited edition of 50 examples only.
