CIRCA 1800, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS, STAR AND 4 MARK, GILT NUMERALS TO CUP AND SAUCER
The cup painted with a view of Meissen from the banks of the River Elbe with the Albrechtsburg in the distance, the saucer with a view of Dresden, within a gilt-edged cartouche with ribbon-tied flowers and gilt titles (slight flaking to rim of cup)

Specialist note

A Meissen blue-ground cup and saucer with almost identical views was sold by Christie's, London, 'The Contents of Le Bois Muralt', on 18 January 2000, lot 114.
