A MEISSEN SILVER-GILT-MOUNTED SNUFF-BOX

A similar chinoiserie snuff-box from the Property from the Estate of Mrs. Charles W. Engelhard was sold by Christie's New York on 18 March 2005, lot 39 and the shape is illustrated by Barbara Beaucamp-Markowsky, Boîtes en Porcelaine, des manufactures européennes au 18e siècle, Fribourg, 1985, p. 104, no. 72.
