In the form of a ribbon-tied bouquet of flowers, set with silver-mounted rose-cut diamonds, sapphires and pearls, the reverse with hinged gold pin, marked on pin and pin guard; in the presentation silk and velvet-lined leather case, stamped ‘Fabergé St Petersburg Moscow London’ beneath the Imperial Warrant, applied with a silver plaque engraved with names
2 3/8 in. (6 cm.) long

Specialist note

The brooch appears to be a presentation piece given by a group of prominent chemists and public figures of early 20th century St Petersburg. Most of the members of this group were connected with the St Petersburg Institute of Technology as well as the Society of Physics and Chemistry.
