EARLY 19TH CENTURY, PROBABLY LATER RETAILED BY ABRAHAM SOLOMON
With three tiers supported by baluster supports above a lower tier with frieze drawer, on turned feet with caps and brass castors, stamped 'A SOLOMON 59 GT QUEEN ST'

Specialist note

Abraham Solomon, furniture broker, is listed at 23 Little Queen Street in 1839 and by 1844 he also occupied 59 Great Queen Street. Various pieces of furniture dating from c.1780 - 1840 are known stamped A SOLOMON 59 GT QUEEN ST, he evidently retailed them either new or second hand (see Christopher Gilbert, The Pictorial Dictionary of Marked London Furniture 1700-1840, Leeds, 1996, p. 50 and p. 433, figs. 870 - 872).
