"In tema di ricordi, accenno a un altro, più banale, ma forse più attinente. Ha a che fare con l'attenta osservazione del lavoro di un calzolaio che aveva una bottega vicino a casa. Allora ero adolescente e, frequentandolo, riuscii a imparare il mestiere allo scopo di ricucire il pallone e riparare le mie uniche scarpe da calcio, quando ormai solo i chiodini riuscivano a tenerle insieme. Ogniquavolta ci penso, mi viene il dubbio che quel calzolaio sia stato propedeutico al mio mestiere d'artista. In effetti, quando eseguo una Dinamica visiva o un ottico-dinamico taglio la tela in centinaia di stringhe per poi ricomporle e infine fissarle con centinaia di chiodini. L'analogia è evidente: è come se inseguissi infiniti disegni mentali finalizzati a realizzare non più scarpe, ma imprevedibili forme dinamiche".

"Speaking of memories, I'd like to mention another, which is more mundane but peraphs also more relevant.
It concerns my close observation of the work of a cobbler who had a stop near our home when I was an adolescent. It was from him that I learned the trade in order to stich up my football and repair my on pair of soccer boots whn the nails were the only things holding them together. Whenever I think about it, I suspect that that cobbler helped to put me on the path towards art. When I produce Visual Dynamic or optical-Dynamic work, I cut the canvas into hundreds of strips that i reassemble and finally secure with hundreds of nails. The similarity is evident. It is as though I were pursuing countless mental designs now aimed at the creation not of boots but of unforeseeable dynamic forms".
