Specialist note

Dessin tardif de la carrière de l'artiste, probablement exécuté vers 1640 comme une oeuvre à part entière, il peut être rapproché stylistiquement de la Tête de jeune femme conservée à l'Ashmolean Museum de Oxford (Guercino Drawings from the collections of Denis Mahon and the Ashmolean Museum, cat. expo., Londres, 1986, no. 20).
