Engbert Grasdorp (Zwolle circa 1610-1685)

Engbert Grasdorp was the founder of the Grasdorp artist family from Zwolle, whose style shows the influence of the Ter Borch family, also from Zwolle. Engbert's son Gerrit (1659-1716) is best known for his watercolours of ice scenes and local topography such as those in the printroom of the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, and the Stedelijk Museum, Zwolle.
