Pieter Barbiers III (1772-1837); probably A.B. Verpoorten, Haarlem, 19-21 December 1837, lot number unknown (several lots described as 'landschap' by Hendriks).

Specialist note

The artist served as the director of the Haarlemse Tekenacademie before becoming curator of the Teylers Museum in 1785. He was responsible for establishing the museum's distinguished collection of drawings thanks to the purchase of 1,700 Italian drawings from the collection of Queen Christina of Sweden.
