Dirk Salm (Amsterdam 1803-1838)

Salm, who spent his entire career in his native Amsterdam, was an amateur still life painter. According to the collection files, a very similar study was formerly with Bianchi, Amsterdam. Signed and dated '1828', that drawing suggests the likely date of the present work.
