Autograph letter signed (‘Freud’) to Dr Gregory Stragnell [American neuropsychiatrist, 1888-1963], Berggasse 19, Vienna, 28 November 1920, thanking him for a request [for an article] which he is unable to fulfil as he is very busy with his practice and any literary works already begun are intended for the Internationale Zeitschrift für Psychoanalyse (‘da ich ärztlich sehr beschäftigt bin u. die bereits begonnenen Arbeiten für unsere Internat. Zeitschrift bestimmt sind’); he is naturally pleased to hear of the broadening interest in the USA for psychoanalsysis, though he has also heard that ‘the Jungian modification, which I refuse, has also found many dedicatees there (ich … höre daß die Jung’sche Modifikation, die ich ablehne, dort viel Anhänger gefunden hat)’, 2/3 page, 4to (290 x 224mm), minor yellowing and marginal wear.
