The '80s were for Rolex a time of great experimentation with gemstones. The famous Daytona references 6269 and 6270, for example, date back to this period. Reference 18129 is a whimsical stylistic exercise by Rolex, a remarkable timepiece, realized in what Rolex called "tridor": a combination of the three gold colours. Furthermore, the dial is adorned by diamond-set numerals, reprised on the bezel (similarly to ref. 6269), and its charming champagne colour is a perfect fit for the bezel.

The spoiled collector will furthermore immediately notice the outstanding condition of the present timepiece. All the parts of the watch, including the bracelet, are in virtually new condition, with hardly any sign of wear or usage.
