Specialist note

Preserved in very good overall condition, the present reference 1803 is a rare and attractive example of a white gold "Stella" dial Datejust.

Rolex's reliable Oyster Perpetual Day-Date model was introduced at the Basel Fair in 1956. The model has proved popular ever since. Reference 1803, such as the present watch, was available from the start of the 1960s until around 1978. For a short period of time in the 1970's, reference 1803 was available with colored dials that had the appearance of enamel. Known among collectors as "Stella" dials, they are considered highly collectible and rare.
