The "Polipetto", Italian for small octopus, was manufactured in 2008 in a limited edition of 78 pieces in honor of the 50th anniversary of the scuba diving division of the Italian police. An instant classic, it is one of the most avidly sought after modern Rolex creations. The present example is absolutely new-old-stock, with all the factory stickers in place. The rarity and importance of the Polipetto, combined with the mint condition of this piece, and the wealth of material it comes with, make this lot a "must-have" for any Rolex collector.
